The Hemp Association of Louisiana (HAL) was officially founded in 2023 after multiple members united in 2021 to fight industry killing regulation and continued challenge protectionist measures and assaults on the Louisiana hemp market.

Supporting the burgeoning hemp industry against over-regulation and bad policies for consumers and businesses alike, HAL has taken a proactive stance with legislative policies and has pushed for change while working to ensure adult consumers have safe, tested hemp-derived cannabinoid products available to them.

HAL supports science-based regulations underscored by common-sense, opting for open markets rather than protectionist policies by opposing stakeholders.
